Welcome to Red Deer Readers website. We've been meeting for over fourteen years to talk about books. Thankyou for choosing to visit us.
Red
Deer Readers met at the Red Deer Pub in Sheffield, England for twelve
years. When the pub closed down we had to relocate. So it was a shock
when we heard that our second venue was to close for refurbishment .
Happily the Red Deer has reopened and we've returned to our original
base.
Over the years we've welcomed new members whenever we've
had room but this is all too rare so we're happy to point people in the
direction of other groups too. Our friends the Yellow Caribou Readers
currently have space for new members and can be contacted via their
website www.yellowcariboureaders.co.uk/ or email
info@yellowcariboureaders.co.uk
At
our May meeting we decided to re-open membership applications. If
you're interested please contact us - on past history places are likely
to be filled very quickly. Prospective members should be able to read
each month's book and be more than willing to share their views
We've
made friends with a book group in Red Deer Canada. The Fireside Readers
meet in the Red Deer Public Library. Take a look at their website for more information about them and the books they've been reading, and see our new page 'Transatlantic
Red Deers' for details of an exciting project we're embarking on in
September.
